چکیده

Grain width (GW) and grain length (GL) are crucial components affecting weight. Dissection of their genetic control is essential for improving yield potential in wheat breeding. Yangmai 12 (YM12) Yanzhan 1 (YZ1) two elite cultivars released the Middle Lower Yangtze Valleys Wheat Zone (MLYVWZ) Yellow-Huai River (YRVWZ), respectively. One biparental population derived from YM12/YZ1 cross was employed to perform QTL mapping based on data four environments over years detect quantitative trait loci (QTL) GW GL. A total eight were identified chromosomes 1B, 2D, 3B, 4B, 5A, 6B. Notably, QGW.yz.2D co-located with QGL.yz.2D, QGW.yz.4B QGL.yz.4B, increasing GW/GL allele YZ1, explained 12.36–18.27% 13.69–26.53% phenotypic variations GL, YM12, 10.34–11.95% 10.35–16.04% variation QGL.yz.5A, GL 10.04–12.48% Moreover, positive alleles these three regions could significantly increase thousand-grain weight, QGW.yz.4B/QGL.yz.4B QGL.yz.5A did not show significant negative effects number per spike. QGW.yz.4B/QGL.yz.4B, have been reported. These then further validated using Kompetitive Allele-Specific PCR (KASP) markers 159 cultivars/lines MLYVWZ YRVWZ. Combining major increased Eleven candidate genes associated encoding ethylene-responsive transcription factor, oleosin, osmotin protein, thaumatin protein identified. Three KASP reported here will be helpful developing new high stable yields.

Distribution of gluten proteins in bread wheat (Triticum aestivum) grain.

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Gluten proteins are the major storage protein fraction in the mature wheat grain. They are restricted to the starchy endosperm, which forms white flour on milling, and interact during grain development to form large polymers which form a continuous proteinaceous network when flour is mixed with water to give dough. This network confers viscosity and elasticity to the dough, ...

Quantitative Trait Loci Associated with Phenological Development, Low-Temperature Tolerance, Grain Quality, and Agronomic Characters in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.).

Plants must respond to environmental cues and schedule their development in order to react to periods of abiotic stress and commit fully to growth and reproduction under favorable conditions. This study was initiated to identify SNP markers for characters expressed from the seedling stage to plant maturity in spring and winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) genotypes adapted to western Canada. Th...

identification of quantitative trait loci associated with low-temperature tolerance in winter wheat (triticum aestivum l.)

low- temperature (lt) tolerance is an economic trait in winter wheat that determines the plants’ ability to successfully cope with below freezing temperatures. to identify the genomic regions associated with lt tolerance in hexaploid wheat, an f2:3 population was produced from crossing between winter type and tolerant parent, mirnovoskaja 808 (lt50 = -20oc), and spring type and susceptible pare...

Proteomic analysis of middle and late stages of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) grain development

Proteomic approaches were applied in four grain developmental stages of the Chinese bread wheat Yunong 201 and its ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS) mutant line Yunong 3114. 2-DE and tandem MALDI-TOF/TOF-MS analyzed proteome characteristics during middle and late grain development of the Chinese bread wheat Yunong 201 and its EMS mutant line Yunong 3114 with larger grain sizes. We identified 130 dif...

Distribution in genome of Quantitative trait loci (QTL) for yield and yield-related traits in common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)

A major objective of quantitative trait loci (QTL) studies is to find genes/markers that can be used in breeding programs via marker assisted selection (MAS). From an extensive review, we surveyed the distribution of QTL for yield and yield-related traits on wheat genome. In order to identify the important regions involving in these traits, QTL meta-analysis was performed. As a result, 55 MQTL ...
